It doesn't get better than this folks, Sunday afternoon last game of the year Flyers Vs. Rangers tied for the final playoff spot with 86 points, winner goes to the playoffs loser goes home and golf. Rangers score early and take a 1-0 lead all the way in to the 3rd period! Now granted the flyers have fired a barrage of pucks at Rangers goalie Henrik Lundquist saving all 40 shots. Yet that sweet goal was inevitable, and Matt Carle score 3 minutes into the 3rd tying the game. As the period unfolds, my brother and I watch in anxiously for a goal. Regulation ends, and its off to overtime. We beg our flyers to win the game in over time because of the vast uncertainty and unpredictability of shootouts, they don't oblige, off to the dreaded best of 3 shootout. Up first Danny Briere for the Flyers, saunters in boom goal! Jubilation in Peterson 103 C! First Ranger is then stopped, and the second flyer, 2nd Ranger scores, we become a little nervous again. 3rd flyer skates in and scores, and we erupt even more. Finally, the 3rd Ranger Jokinen skates in and is stopped!! Flyers win !!! Playoffs here we come!! Watch hockey it's exciting, it's thrilling, it's fun! The playoffs are even crazier and awesomer, not a word but it doesn't matter.
